Narendra Kohli is a Hindi language novelist, short story writer, playwright and satirist. His first published story was ‘Do Haath’, which came out in 1960. He is a modernist and yet well-connected to his Indian roots. His unique approach makes him distinct from his contemporaries.. He is credited with reinventing the ancient form of epic writing in modern prose. He is also regarded as a trend-setter in the sense that he pioneered the creation of literary works based on the Puranas.
