I was invited to be Guest of Honour to an interesting event – Book Launch and discussion on the 8th by a very amazing individual – author, poet, engineer, bureaucrat – she wears many hats with consummate ease. A collection of 21 short stories.Translated into Hindi, by Ritu Bhatnagar, from the original version “A casket of Stories” by Neelam Saxena Chandra was launched on 8th Jan 2018. Neelam read out poems from her collections that touched the heart of the audience. This was followed by a discussion on “How to write a Book”

Multi-talented Neelam Saxena Chandra works as Railway officer in Indian Railways. She also worked as Joint Secretary for U.P.S.C., India. An Engineering graduate from VNIT and a Post Graduate Diploma holder  in IM & HRD , she has studied in Finance from London School of Economics. A prolific writer, she has published  4 novels, a novella, 5 short story collections, 19 poetry collections and 10 children’s books .

The Chief guest, was Ambassador  Ashok Sajjanhar, IFS, and Guest of Honour was Dr Mridula Tandon, Philanthropist and Founder Member of Sakshi, the function was attended by dignitaries from all fields
